I am writing to commend an ACCOTS Transfer Practitioner who accompanied a stroke patient to Radiology.  She was extremely calm, composed, and professional, and she carried out CPR to a very high standard. As a radiographer who has worked in high-stress environments such as cath labs, I am very aware of how stressful these situations can become. However, she took clear charge of the room, and her calm leadership created a controlled and reassuring environment for everyone involved.  By the time the crash team arrived, the patient had stabilised and the ACCOTS team was able to be stood down, which is a real credit to her prompt and effective actions.  I felt it was important to formally recognise her excellent clinical skills, leadership, and professionalism during what was a very challenging situation. She was a credit to her team and the Trust.
