Dr Richard Browne
Clinical Director ACCOTS
Richard led the setup and development of the service since its inception in 2020 and jointly led the evolution of Adult Critical Care Transfer Services nationally for NHS England.
His other roles include the Clincal Service Lead for the Critical Care Department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham as well as Joint Medical Lead for the West Midlands Critical Care Network.

I enjoy teaching and have a keen interest in simulated practice as it gives educators a chance to consolidate/assess understanding of education delivered and give the opportunity for staff who learn best through practice the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Andrew Boazman
Andrew has a background in Critical Care Nursing/Critical Care Outreach (CCOT) and Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) working for a local Emergency Medical Team. He developed a passion for Retrieval and Transfer Medicine whilst working as a Critical Care Flight Nurse for an international aeromedical company. Andrew has worked for ACCOTS since its inception in 2020, working from a bank Transfer Practitioner to Deputy Lead Nurse. He has a keen interest in Clinical Education and regularly instructs on RCUK Advanced Life Support courses as well as ACCOTS training courses . His clinical interests include Retrieval and Transfer Medicine, Resuscitation, Trauma/Burn care and Liver ICU. Andrew is continuing to develop his leadership portfolio as Deputy Lead Nurse after years as a Senior Charge Nurse in Critical Care Outreach at a Major Trauma Centre.
